recovery

this past week i worked seven days straight and survived relatively unscathed. five of those seven days was accompanied by this - loud, dusty and incredible disruptive road works, right outside the door. you would think that it might dissuade people from coming in, but no, soho kids are loyal like that. either way it's over now, and because everyone has returned from their holidays, i'm only working two days a week from now until my return. so in my recovery, sunday was spent as a customer (with celeste from milkbar) and today i don't really feel like going outside so life will resume again tomorrow.

labour and wait and reward

i went out this morning, through the scrum that is brick lane on a sunday, down to cheshire st to a little shop called labour and wait, with the specific purpose of buying myself a stove-top coffee pot. i'm granted one free bag of coffee a week from work so i thought i better have means to put said beans to use.

why would you bother with anything else when organic goods are so nicely packaged? granted their carbon footprint is through the roof, being from italy and all, but it's totally worth it. the box of cereal on the left is josh's christmas present, the others are gluten-free snacks for me.
