day two with bones

yes, dear friends, that is blue sky. songs that sprang to mind : 'sun king' by the beatles and 'mr blue sky' by e.l.o.

made some friends while waiting for soph in bethnal green.

i didn't end up taking many photos, and none of soph. we wandered about, had a coffee where she used to work, walked down by the canal to victoria park where we stopped for lunch. i'm still not over white swans, they're just not right.

arrivals

coffee! with ellie! in shoreditch! and it wasn't too bad!!!

we tried in vain to capture the exquisite beauty of the national museum. i'm pretty sure i took the exact same photo that's on the cover of my history of architecture book. it definitely needs to be experienced. the light was just amazing.

an oddly sinister row of snowmen outside liberty on carnaby st.

departures

the final brunch at harvest (a first for mum and dad though).

the last two polaroids (mum and dad, me and sham)

things to miss #10

despite the long hours of torment and suffering, i will miss the architecture building at curtin. only the ignorant think that it's ironic that this is "the ugliest building on campus" - they have no idea.

tommy

the ever-fabulous tommy at her birthday party.

the love at tiger. despite not being able to get a table this morning i ended up with a lovely line-up (with a celebratory glass of french rose champagne courtesy of braydon and claire).

last meals with josh #3

christmas time at the ho-bag.

pineapple! so sad that i couldn't have one of my own. but it did taste that much sweeter when i stole a taste of josh's.

entree : sang chow bow and stuffed chicken wings (dave style).

and the always amazing wanton noodle soup for me; braised duck soup for josh.

preparation

raining! this is what i woke up to yesterday. i decided to make the most of it by having what will probably be the last bath i have for a very very long time.

it cleared up by the time tommy and i had coffee in the afternoon. four seasons in one day for sure.

things to miss #8

rosie. i've also had her for 15 years. in fact i left london with her inside the suitcase : the two most significant purchases of my seven-year-old self. i would never be able to fit her in that suitcase again in its current state. she will be sorely missed.

running-away-from-home-suitcase

i've had this suitcase for 15 years and only now is it living up to its name. all packed and ready to go. seriously, i can't open this again until i land.
