park days

park days begin again.

as does blood nose season.

delightful company...

delicious spread...

all became a bit much in the mad scrum of people surrounding.

noisy

after a few days of deliciously quiet skies, the constant background drone of planes is back for good. thanks for the break though, icelandic volcano.

blanket

i went walking through the fields yesterday and it occurred to me that i've never seen a complete blanket of autumn leaves before. it felt a little anachronistic to be wearing these shoes (which i associate with spring, obviously).

in response : dad, it was amazing, you should have been there. though i was sitting next to the most awful, horrible people. the woman was heckling him from the balcony! i'll tell you the whole story some other time, you have to hear my impression of her.

also josh, be warned i'm about to out-do your condescension for the comment i didn't publish. do try to keep up. and it isn't the same line up.

sunday in the life

waiting for a table at albion... admiring the selection.

waiting (forever) for breakfast at albion with steph and hannah.

and temptation was succumbed to. hannah is as good at justifying as me - we worked hard all week and sunday was a beautiful day for the park and you can't go to the park without tasty treats. and there you have it.

steph and hannah.

another gig at climpsons, the end of the triple rosie tour.

ora, lizzie and kerry watching tom - "if whiskey doesn't kill me..."

matt d.

triple rosie. "if i could be a note, i'd be all of them."

that's ish marquez, the guy they were supporting on tour. they wrote some wicked songs on the road.

ora cogan, with help from max.

oscar had really shiny shoes on.

wow...

...that's a lot of bikes. i've never seen london fields so packed. had a bit of a struggle trying to find young miss chantry within the masses. it was so amazing to see her though (when i found her, thanks to a white dog) and very normal. just happy to have someone else on this side of the earth, relatively close-by, and somewhere to crash when in oslo!

birthday

dribs and drabs of my day...

waiting for mum outside liberty...

... i just had my haircut.

chillin in london fields. this was much later. in the meantime mum and i had been to the ship, had lunch at princi, visited soph up in marylebone and wandered around up there. by the time i got back home i was exhausted but the day was beautiful i couldn't resist eating some strawberries in the fields (beatles reference unintended).

after a brief drink at off broadway, mum, ellie, soph and i had a marvelous dinner at bistroteque. then we put mum in a cab and went back to off broadway. but it was wednesday and really quiet so it didn't last long.

a replacement shamie followed us home and hung out on my stoop with me for a while. i even have scratches on my wrist from where he attacked. awesome.
